4u PREAMP - DISCONTINUED
The Sage Sound 4u is a mono 4 way sound system preamp with integrated DSP. The first of it’s kind offers a user-adjustable crossover with slope adjust, phase polarity, delay (for time alignment) and limiting on each output channel along with noise gates to mute low level noise. No need for an external LMS and no need to use crossover settings that don’t suit your boxes. Can be played 2, 3, 4 or 5 way (5 way only possible with custom addition, details below).
MUSIC CHANNEL:
The music channel on the 4u has two stereo line inputs and two stereo turntable phono inputs.
There is an 11 band graphic EQ, and a 3 band semi-parametric (sweep) EQ. The sub EQ has a choice of 3 different tonalities, selected by the 3 position switch.
There are two effects sends.
AUX CHANNEL:
Alongside the main music inputs to the preamp are five aux inputs, these are used for microphones, effects returns and sirens. These channels feature high quality microphone preamps, two effects sends, bass, treble and mid range EQ.
CONNECTIONS:
Main outputs to the amplifiers are on jack and XLR connectors and can be plugged into each other to play 2 or 3 way.
Sets can be recorded through the full range tape output.
Each aux channel and the music channel have insert points to properly add additonal processing such 31 band EQs, compressors and feedback suppressors, whilst not sacrificing microphone or phono quality.
All connections are balanced where possible.
